About · The Family
The Eggleston family.
Two people started this in the early 1980s. Their two sons run it now. The company carries their name because of a decision made at the handover, and most of what is unusual about how we work traces back to that.
Mary and Richard Eggleston
Founders
Mary and Richard started in the office furniture business in the early 1980s, working on a straightforward premise: high-quality products at prices businesses could actually afford, and service that did not end when the invoice cleared.
That was more than forty years ago. The furniture has changed, the buildings have changed, and most of the companies that were selling office furniture in Dallas-Fort Worth then are not selling it now. The premise did not change.
They have both since retired.
Anthony and Joe Eggleston
Mary and Richard’s sons. They run the company today.
When their parents retired, Anthony and Joe took the business on. They also renamed it, in honor of Mary and Richard.
That is worth pausing on, because most ownership transitions run the other direction. The usual move is to sell to a larger group, or to keep the name and quietly change everything underneath it. Putting the family name on the door at the moment you take over is a decision to be held to the standard the previous two people set — by customers who remember, and by suppliers who have been doing business here for decades.
It is also why the phone gets answered by someone who can actually make a decision.
What family ownership actually changes
Every furniture company in this market describes itself as family-owned or family-operated. The phrase has been worn smooth. So here is what it concretely means in our case — four operational facts you can check against how any other vendor treats you.
Nobody works on commission
There is no version of a conversation here where someone earns more by moving you up a tier. That is why we quote new and pre-owned side by side, and why we will tell you when the pre-owned option is the better buy even though it is the smaller invoice. A commissioned salesperson cannot afford to say that. We can.
The crew is ours
Delivery and installation are in-house, not subcontracted. The people who measured your space are the people who build it on install day. That continuity is the single biggest reason install errors stay rare here — nothing gets lost in the handoff, because there is no handoff.
We come to you
The measuring, the floor plans, the 3D drawings, and the chair samples all happen at your office, before you have spent anything. Running it that way costs us real money up front. A business measured on quarterly targets would not do it; a business the same two families have run for four decades can take the longer view. The process page walks through all eight steps.
We are still here in ten years
Cubicle systems get reconfigured, added to, and moved. That only works if whoever sold you the floor is still around and still knows what they sold you. Forty years in one market is the only honest evidence anyone can offer on that question, and it is the reason we would rather add to a floor you already own than quote you a new one.
The rest of the team
Behind Anthony and Joe are the people who actually make a project land: the design team that draws your floor plan and turns revisions around in minutes, and the install crew that pre-stages the truck, coordinates with your building, builds the floor, and hauls the packaging away to be recycled on our end.
You will meet them. The person who measures your space is the person who builds it.
Questions we get about the company
Anthony and Joe Eggleston, sons of founders Mary and Richard Eggleston. It has been in the family since the early 1980s and has never been sold outside it.
Since 1981 — more than forty years furnishing offices in Dallas-Fort Worth and across Texas.
When Mary and Richard retired, Anthony and Joe renamed the company in their honor. The family name on the door is deliberate.
No. Nobody here is paid on commission, which is why we quote new and pre-owned side by side and will say plainly when the cheaper option is the better fit for your project.
No. Our own crew handles delivery, assembly, installation, and cleanup, and it is generally the same crew that measured your space at the start of the project.
The warehouse is in Euless and is open by appointment. We also keep by-appointment meeting offices in Fort Worth, Dallas, and Plano — useful when a new space is not built out yet and you need somewhere neutral to review drawings. Most of our work happens at your office, not ours.
Eggleston Office. The trusted name in office furniture.
If you are furnishing a space, start with a phone call. We will come measure it, draw it, and bring you chairs to sit in before you spend anything.
