Herman Miller alternatives: frequently asked questions
The Aeron is the only Herman Miller chair currently available in a remanufactured tier at Eggleston Office, which adds a fourth path beyond the three on this page. Used and remanufactured are different categories with different prices, warranties, and condition expectations; conflating them on a generic “Herman Miller” page would obscure the distinction. Not at this time. Our remanufactured tier is currently confirmed for Aerons only. We sell pre-owned Embody, Mirra, Cosm, Sayl, and Setu in original-condition with our one-year mechanism warranty; we do not currently offer those models in a remanufactured tier. Both are mid-back ergonomic task chairs with mesh-style backs and multi-axis adjustability. The Mirra’s polymer-suspension back is engineering-distinct; the Diem uses conventional mesh. For most buyers, the matched-tier comparison comes down to whether the Mirra’s specific back-suspension feel is a hard requirement or whether excellent ergonomic adjustment at a meaningfully lower price is the better project economics.
